On Sunday 07th July the Women’s World Cup 2019 ended in France with the victory of United States squad!
At B1 Soccer Academy we have followed the championship and we are more than proud to see how women’s soccer is increasing day by day, and that is why this edition has been described as the most important in history. Never before women’s football had such a platform, audience and such amount of talent.
This competition has offered a great opportunity to change attitudes and to go a huge step forward for equality.
The final match
The United States finally claimed its title over Netherlands, 2-0, in Lyon. But, as hard as Spain, France, and England, the Dutch made them work. Netherlands defense was tenacious, but in the end, Megan Rapinoe and Rose Lavelle scored in the second half to achieve United States victory. First, was Rapinoe with a penalty kick after VAR review and then Lavelle driving run up the center.
From B1 Soccer Academy we want to show our admiration for the brilliant team of the Netherlands, that has shined during the whole competition. We are sure this team, with an extremely talented and young generation, is a dangerous rival to beat in the future for the Spanish squad.
