Last October, Eric Bertran, CMO, and head of business development at B1 Soccer Academy traveled to London to meet with the UK Football Trials management.
The British company is dedicated to organizing Trials, with Scouts from different professional teams, for football players between 10 and 26 years old. Although they mainly organize trials in England, after more than eight years of work, they also have experience in Australia, USA, Spain, and Bermuda.
For two days, Eric Bertran was able to get a closer look at the work done by all the UK Football Trials staff, as well as having the opportunity to share knowledge and chat with its founder and director Harry Price and Tom Rudd, Operations Manager. It was a pleasure!
“We shared many points of view and it was really interesting to see how they work to understand how to create real opportunities for young football players. We already know that in football it is difficult to make a place for oneself, but they bring the professionals of this sport closer to the kids” Bertran said.
On this occasion, player tests were held at the Queens Park Rangers Football Club Training Ground in London, a fantastic facility attached to Imperial College London. More than 250 boys dressed in short, during these two days, to show their talent and get what every player wants: an opportunity in a professional club.
Getting to know UK Football Trials better
UK Football Trials – Getting Players Scouted since 2010. Founded by Harry Price and James Price, UK Football Trials are the world’s largest and most successful Football Trials company with over 125,000 registered players from over 200 countries.
Featured on National BBC One TV and ITV National News and the Daily Telegraph, they believe that all players deserve the chance to be seen by pro and semi-pro club scouts and have a chance to get scouted and their 1-day football trials and 5-day training and trial camps offer exactly that!
“We help players get scouted, AND help pro and semi-pro clubs find players for their clubs – we have set up a win-win in an honest, ethical and transparent way since day 1”, Price said.
A way of working that undoubtedly offers real possibilities for football players from all over the world to show their talent in front of scouts from some of the best teams in the world.
Visiting London
In addition, and as it could not be otherwise, during the days in the English capital, Eric Bertran was able to visit some of the most emblematic places of the city of London such as the Big Ben, the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, the Thames River, Hyde Park or Trafalgar Square.
But he couldn’t leave London without visiting some of the Premier League’s most important pitches such as Chelsea FC‘s Stamford Bridge and Arsenal FC‘s Emirates Stadium.
From B1 Soccer Academy we continue working to improve and offer the best sports and training services. And we hope to bring you news soon with UK Football Trials. Stay tuned!
