The B1 Staff is delighted to present Marc Fortuny as the newest addition to our team as a member of Staff and the new Head Coach of the B1 Elite Development Program!
Marc Fortuny boasts a degree in Sports and Exercise Science specializing in physical training and conditioning in football received from Catalonia’s National Institute of Physical Education (INEFC); as well as holding the UEFA PRO coaching license.
His first words upon joining us were:
“I am very excited to begin a new journey with B1 Soccer Academy, in which I aim to share my knowledge and experience both on and off the field with B1 players in order to develop all their talents.
It is crucial that those who are part of the academy take full advantage of every opportunity presented. I won’t let them miss out on a single one.”
Fortuny not only has ample experience in Catalan Football, but also in organizing and running sporting events and camps across the entire world.
Marc’s utmost professionalism, limitless knowledge of the game and unmitigated passion for Football demonstrates he shall play an instrumental role in our mission to offer the very best programs available.
Getting to know Marc
Football has always been a major part of Marc’s life. As a player, he represented some of the finest teams in Catalan Football such as Fundació Ferran Martorell in División de Honor (the highest youth level in Spain), EC Granollers or AEC Manlleu, both in Spain’s Tercera División.
He has been both a head coach and a fitness coach since 2012, and has worked in prestigious football clubs such as UE Cornellà, AEC Manlleu or even Ripollet.
Fortuny has already led some B1 Players training sessions along with the other coaches, Didi Rodriguez and Eric Bertran, focusing on player conditioning and physical performance. He’s already working hard.
A true talent in every aspect of the game. His charismatic character shall surely boost B1 Soccer Academy’s overall quality.
We are already learning so much from him, and this is just the beginning!
See you soon, Victor!
Marc’s arrival sadly coincides with the departure of our coach Victor González, having decided to seek new adventures in Asia as he establishes a new Project.
Victor has been with us throughout 14 months, running training sessions, analyzing our players’ performances in matches with their respective teams, and enjoying football at its fullest. In addition, he was the head coach of our U16 team in the 2019 MIC tournament this past April.
At B1 Soccer Academy we pride ourselves on having the greatest professionals, and it is a true pleasure to be able to work with such experienced, well-prepared, and knowledgeable coaches in Youth Development.
Our greatest focus is always towards providing all the tools necessary to ensure our players’ development.
It has been an incredible experience working with you Victor, and we wish you all the best in your new adventure.
You already know we shall stay in touch. B1 shall always be your home, so this is not a goodbye, but a see you soon!
