With the new season comes a wave of new talents from across the globe that we welcome with open arms. Indeed, a lot of players from last season took on a next step or challenge in their careers as they felt like they were ready for it. Anyways, to our great pleasure, new talented athletes are trusting B1 Soccer Academy for this 2022/23 season.
Having said this, B1 has the pleasure to announce a new Kenyan player that will be joining us for the rest of the season. After being able to play with B1 last year as a try-out, the young talent decided to be part of the elite development sporting program. Welcome Calvin Mulinya!
In fact, Calvin’s passion for football came from his family practicing the sport since he is a child. Watching his dad and older brothers play was part of his habits, before hitting the fields himself. He started playing football at the age of 4 in a local Academy called “Ligi Ndogo Academy”. There he was able to learn the basics of football and keep building his abilities.
Player Card: Calvin Mulinya
Position: Right wing and Left wing
Strengths: Hard work, Learning, Speed
Weaknesses: Defence, Muscular strength, Finishing

Furthermore, Calvin is more than happy to be able to do the sport he loves so much in a localization like Barcelona. He chose to come to B1 Soccer Academy because of the dual career program that we offer to our athletes.
Moreover, we have a close relationship with EU Business School which is responsible for bringing young Africans to Europe in order to give them the opportunity to study. Our role in this partnership is to offer our services to these young students that would like to play football in addition to their studies. Being able to train and attend school during the week seems to be the perfect combination for Calvin.
Finally, he explains that his dream goal would be to establish himself in the field of sports, so much more than just a professional player. Calvin had very inspiring words about his future in football:
“When I hang my boots one day, I would love to be able to be around the sport still. I am working hard on establishing myself in the Catalan league in order to give an example for young talents like me back home.”
Welcome to B1 Soccer Academy and the B1 Family Calvin! #Go B1
