We continue to add beautiful experiences with women’s football, this time thanks to our partner European Soccer Solutions. Training with The Nationals Soccer Girls team from Detroit, Michigan.
A group of young players born between 2001 and 2002 who participate in a sports development program in the United States and who compete to win the national championships.
The weekend of The Nationals 01/02 Girls Development Academy team began with an interesting visit to Camp Nou to watch the match between FC Barcelona and Getafe CF with a 2 to 1 victory for Leo Messi’s team.
After a first day of sightseeing and football watching it was time to take the field to train with #B1Coaches Giancarlo Coletta, Didac Rodriguez and Eric Bertran.
Two sessions full of tasks designed and based on the methodology of B1 Soccer Academy. Dynamic sessions that quickly demonstrated the good level of the group at both the cognitive and conditional levels.
Coach Giancarlo Coletta commented after the two sessions:
“I am really surprised by the level of all the players. Very good predisposition and attitude. They were two very good, intense sessions where we were also able to learn and see the talent and potential of women’s football in the USA.
Moreover, during their stay in Barcelona, our friends from European Soccer Solutions also showed them some of the most magical corners of the city, such as the Sagrada Familia, the Cathedral of Barcelona or Las Ramblas. All this before they set off for the north of Spain, to San Sebastián.
“All the staff at B1 are very grateful to European Soccer Solutions for giving us the opportunity to continue growing and discovering talent from other parts of the world.”
Spain Tour 2020
As part of our European Soccer Solutions partner program, the Nationals Soccer players from Detroit, Michigan enjoyed training in Barcelona.
But this was not their only contact with football, as the Michigan team played some friendly matches in the north of the country.
First they faced SD Eibar getting the victory by 5 to 7. On their second day in Donosti, they faced Real Sociedad in Zubieta’s facilities. Again the American team won, this time more tightly by 2 to 3 in a very exciting match.
To put an end to their Spain Tour, the team from Detroit won again in their last match against Añorga KKE.
Congratulations for your work and dedication, as well as the good level offered in each and every one of the matches.
We hope you enjoyed every moment of your visit to Spain, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
