We are very happy and proud to see that our first B1 Camp in Costa Rica had a great impact on the Costa Rican community, receiving requests to come back for more campuses. And although the global pandemic has complicated the situation, we are getting closer and closer to returning.
In addition, we were delighted to see that our methodology was well received and together with the talent of the local players, we were able to see results in a short period of time. With this good response, we decided to create our own B1 Costa Rica team.
Recently, a new B1 team has been created in Costa Rica with the help of our sponsors and above all with the unconditional support of the parents of the young players. In fact, TecnoRental S.A., ELK LATAM Trading S.A. y El Bambú Restaurante & Sports Bar helped us build this team from scratch.
Also note that many of the players that make up this first B1 team in Costa Rica, participated in the first B1 Camp in Costa Rica and have already confirmed us for the second edition in July.
The director and head of the new team will be Michael Mora, who will be assisted by Sergio Alfaro. Both also participated as coaches in the first edition of the Costa Rica Campus and have also been part of the technical staff that visited our team in Fort Myers, Florida, United States last April for a Campus.
Working from the ground up
With this new team, we want to transmit the importance of working properly with young players, working with the philosophy and methodology of our own academy B1 Soccer Academy Barcelona, Spain.
The team has been formed with players who were under the care of Coach Michael Mora and played in the UCR Minor Leagues of the first division. Due to the current situation, the team is training two days online where game theory is explained and two days in-person to put all this knowledge into practice.
The creation of this new team is the first step to establish ourselves as an academy with our own team in Costa Rica. We hope to continue growing and have the opportunity to share our knowledge and experience with players from all over the world.
Finally, we would like to remind you that pre-registration is still open for the second edition of the B1 Camp in Costa Rica, which will be held from July 10 to 13 at the Proyecto Gol facilities. If you are a coach you can sign up for the teacher training that we will provide.
